摘要:
当代人学理论围绕个人本体论展开了激烈争论。动物主义主张“我们是动物”，我们在数量上和动物一致，我们是物质事物而非模式或状态，我们以生命有机体的方式组成。反对心理主义将理性心理作为个人根本特征及其本体论承诺，反对我们是大脑、我们由动物构成而非动物和二元论等主张。我们不能因心理连续性而被转移，也不能作为电子人被“上传”；我们也不是动物的某个具体部分或者动物的阶段。动物主义对个人持存的说明包括生物有机体和躯体动物主义两种方案。思维动物论证是动物主义的标准论证，遭到了各种反驳。动物主义面临思维部分问题、移植直观、残存人和死尸等难题。弱动物主义是各种动物主义主张的统一特征。
